Senior or Intermediate Public Lawyers

Chen Palmer New Zealand Public Law Specialists is a highly successful law firm specialising in public and employment law.  We have won the New Zealand Law Award for Best Public Law Firm in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. We also won Best Boutique Law Firm in 2010.

Chen Palmer attracts a variety of very interesting work that spans the entire public law and policy spectrum – from public policy frameworks and strategies to public law litigation including judicial review. We work for clients who engage with Government, and we also work for clients who are part of the Government.

We are extremely busy and our Public Law team is in growth mode.

We are looking for a Senior or Intermediate level public lawyer.

We are looking for people who:

  • Have formidable experience in providing strategic public law and public policy advice;
  • Have experience working in the Beehive, Parliament and/or Government agencies;
  • Can expertly lead work on complex legal, policy and strategic issues;
  • Can interact confidently, and are able to build relationships with clients;
  • Set high standards for themselves, and always seek to achieve those standards;
  • Are great lawyers; and
  • Are passionate about public law and policy and law reform.

  • Are passionate about public law and policy and law reform.
