Kate has extensive experience in providing strategic and policy advice due to working for six years at Parliament, most recently as a Ministerial Advisor to a senior Cabinet Minister.
Recent projects Kate has worked on include alcohol law reform, changes to legal aid, criminal procedure simplification, and consumer law reform. Kate has a thorough understanding of parliamentary practice and has provided advice on a wide range of legislation.
Kate holds an LLB/BA (Political Studies) from the University of Otago. She was admitted to the Bar in February 2008. In 2010, Kate was awarded a Chevening Hansard Research Scholarship to study at the London School of Economics.
