Public Lawyer (Auckland or Wellington)

Chen Palmer Partners is a highly successful law firm specialising in public and employment law. Chen Palmer attracts a variety of very interesting work that spans the entire public law spectrum – from judicial review and public policy, to parliamentary advice and law drafting, to overseas investment and business regulation. We work for clients who engage with central and local Government, and we also work for clients who are part of central and local Government.

We are looking for a Public Lawyer with ideally three years or more PQE, with a strong academic record and relevant experience in private practice or the state sector. Experience in public and administrative law, judicial review and public law litigation is preferred. Social Science research and evaluation experience, interest and skills are also preferred.

This position will also assist with work for the Superdiversity Institute for Law, Policy and Business, which is a division of Chen Palmer Partners. The Superdiversity Institute is a multidisciplinary centre specialising in analysing the law, policy and business implications of New Zealand’s superdiversity.
