Anthony Hill has been appointed as Special Counsel commencing on 1 February 2021. He joins Chen Palmer after 10 years as the Health and Disability Commissioner.
He had previously been the Deputy Director-General of Health overseeing DHB funding and performance of the New Zealand health and disability system, and Chief Legal Counsel at the Ministry of Health as well as a solicitor for the Ministry of Commerce. Anthony was previously in private law practice before joining the public service. He graduated with Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Canterbury, and completed a Master of Laws at the University of Virginia School of Law.
